Furniture Self-Measuring Guide

We want to ensure your furniture can be delivered smoothly so you can begin arranging your interiors and enjoying your new pieces. Please review the guidance below to measure your space accurately before delivery.

Plan Your Delivery Path

Measure the area where you plan to place your item, taking into account any fixed widths or obstacles that may restrict access. We recommend walking through the full delivery path in advance, from the delivery truck to the room where the furniture will be placed.

Check Doorways and Hallways

When measuring the height and width of doorways and hallways, remember to account for handles, trims, skirting, and handrails that cannot easily be removed. You may also want to consider alternative entry points such as back doors, side doors, or garage entrances.

Elevator Access

If your building requires elevator access, measure the elevator height and depth carefully. It is also helpful to measure diagonally from the bottom center of the elevator door to the back ceiling to determine the maximum clearance available.

Stairway Clearance

Measure the width of stairways and the depth of landings, including any railings or barriers. We also recommend measuring the distance from the top and bottom of the stairs to the nearest wall, as well as the ceiling height above both the bottom and top steps and the landing area.

Verify Dimensions

Compare the measurements you have taken throughout your home with the dimensions listed on the product page. Ensure the item's width, height, and depth can safely pass through all doorways, hallways, stairways, and elevators along the delivery route.

Prepare the Delivery Route

Before delivery, remove any items that could obstruct the path. This may include lighting fixtures, artwork, rugs, decorative accessories, plants, or other movable objects that could interfere with the delivery process.

Ready for Delivery

Our delivery team cannot move existing furniture, so please ensure the path is clear and that nearby floors or furnishings are protected. Once everything is prepared, your new piece will be ready to enter your home.
