Zayda is a designer and pianist, and the founder of Kaunus—a Spanish design atelier reimagining the piano bench as an object of intention, design, and cultural presence. Rooted in a lifelong relationship with music, her work explores the intimate dialogue between body and instrument, treating the bench as a silent architecture where posture, sound, and emotion converge. Shaped by a background in furniture restoration and collaboration with master Spanish artisans, each Kaunus piece is handcrafted to order in Spain and conceived as a collectible object of quiet luxury. The collections unfold as distinct narratives: Sublime Legends, inspired by musicians who shaped her artistic listening, and Back to Black, an architectural exploration of permanence, sobriety, and timeless elegance. Kaunus sits at the intersection of design, music, and culture—created for refined interiors, concert spaces, and discerning collectors.
