San Francisco-based artist Heather Robinson creates colorful paintings that explore pattern and texture. Her work focuses on the interplay of order and spontaneity; she interweaves patterned elements with loose and unplanned marks. Robinson studied environmental design at Texas A&M University and architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which gave her a passion for structure as well as a fascination with how people choose to decorate the spaces around them. She has exhibited in several states across the United States. Her work is held in private collections across the US, Australia, and Europe.In addition to her creative practice, she's a professionally-trained baker and enjoys traveling, studying foreign languages, and collecting loud vintage neckties.
