Alamwar

Artisan Textiles

USA

Alamwar is an artisan textile and lifestyle brand available through Powered by People. Founded by artist and designer Viji Reddy, its practice draws on the textile traditions of India’s Deccan region, translating historic motifs into contemporary fabrics and soft furnishings.

Handwoven linen, silk, and cotton provide the foundation for collections enriched by printing, dyeing, painting, and embroidery. From decorative pillows and quilts to tabletop linens and throws, Alamwar combines a painterly approach to color with close relationships with the artisans who keep these techniques alive.
